You are probably reading this because you want to learn as much about the opportunity and the people that have had success with PPL.

We attribute much of our success to the mere fact that we have been doing this for quite some time. Mike and Steve have been full-time in network marketing since November of 1994. They joined PPL in 1998. Kim and Steve met at their first PPL convention, they married in 2001. She joined this industry in 1997. That is 33 years of experience between the three.

We firmly believe that like any business Pre-Paid Legal takes 3-5 years to learn. While most people take failure as a sign that they are in the wrong business, we realized that failure is a huge part of the process. You must fall in love with failure. Tom Watson of IBM recommended that to increase your rate of success, double your rate of failure. The only path to the top is to fail your way there.

Because we have always had each other to lean on or rely, we were able to laugh in the face of adversity. We also used affirmations and visualizations to help stay focused on our goals rather then on the obstacles.

When first joining the industry Steve and Mike lived in their sister's attic apartment in New Jersey sharing a small room, a Geo Metro for transportation and a goal to become millionaires.

Kim was introduced to Pre-paid Legal by her (ex) boyfriend's uncle, who now happens to be Canada's # 1 income earner, Rob Mackenzie. "Rob had approached me over the years with every opportunity from jewelry to travel. When I realized that I could pioneer Canada for PPL, I went to work," Kim says. Although Canada wasn't open at the time Kim, Rob and a handful of Canadians worked in pre-launch for nine months. They both made ED the day Canada opened.

The dynamic trio plugged into their mentor Jeff Olson.

"Jeff shared with us the slight edge philosophy and he also taught us that it was okay to have fun along the way. There are a lot of things that most people don't commit to such as weekly meetings, 2 a day, big events - to name a few. Jeff taught us that successful people are willing to do what unsuccessful people just aren't willing to do," Steve says.

We decided to do these simple things like the Ten Core Commitments over and over until we had the income that we wanted.

In 2004 a great friend to Pre-Paid Legal and the Melias passed away from cancer. His name was David Stecki. David was a rare breed. he was a dreamer, but also a doer. As David lay sick in his fight for cancer, he went over the million dollar mark in PPL. Although David won't be there in person to accept his induction into the Millionaire's Club, he'll be there in spirit. The Melias were so touched by David's courage that they started their own foundation in 2004, The Melia Foundation. Their goal is to donate 1 million dollars to those in need.

Charter Members of the Millionaires Club

The Melia's were fortunate and blessed to be inducted into Prepaid Legal's Millionaire's Club when the Club was launched in the Spring of 2002. The trio credits their success to the dynamic system that the leadership Team headed up by Visionary Leader Harland Stonecipher. "We owe a tremendous amount to Mr. Stonecipher and the incredible opportunity he has created," says Mike Melia.
