Before Pre-Paid Legal we both worked in Corporate America. Pedro was retired from the Navy working in the communications industry while Wendi worked in the Transportation Industry the money was ok but the time freedom was just not there.

We had a turning point in out lives in early 2003 when Wendi was diagnosed with Cancer and became unable to work. Our family not only suffered emotionally but also caused a financial toil. After a long hard road in January of 2004 we were blessed with the news that Wendi was in remission. However due to her illness she could no longer handle the stress or the hours associated with Corporate life. While she went back to work the hours took a true toll on her body and her spirit.

On January 31, 2004 we were extremely fortunate to be introduced to Pre-Paid Legal Services and we can honestly say that we have never looked back. In about four months time we were both at home with our three beautiful children. The stress left along with the jobs and we were able to enjoy our family that we had not been able to enjoy the year before. As long as we were trading time for money our employers controlled our destiny.

One on Wendi's most famous quotes is from a gentleman by the name of Zig Ziegler and he said this, "If you help enough people get what they want then you will eventually get everything you want" and we have used this philosophy to build our business. Now we not only have the income and time freedom but we also have the comfort of knowing that our future is in our hands and we don't have to worry about our families' hopes and dreams.
